Research and Development: Test 1 by Sarah Fine & Rhiannon Armstrong
Sarah Fine is an analytical philosopher working on the political philosophy of immigration. Rhiannon Armstrong is an interactive performance maker working on a lifelong series called Instructions for Empathetic Living. Ice and Fire are a theatre company exploring human rights stories through performance.
Sarah and Rhiannon are part-way through some collaborative research and development that we hope will result in a piece of work for Ice and Fire to produce.
We are going to try some things out.

Deep Futures and Great Hungers by David Finnigan
Imagine dropping grains of sand on to a table. Over time, the grains of sand build up into a pile. If you keep dropping sands, the sides will get steeper, and eventually, a grain of sand will trigger the first avalanche.
David Finnigan is a writer, theatre-maker, festival producer and Coney Associate in Residence who makes work exploring game theory, network theory, climate/global change and systems science.

Conditional Love by Simon Katan
Conditional Love is a semi-musical interactive musing on the theme of narcissism and its digital manifestations. Controlling their own fleshy avatar from your phone, each audience member caresses and grows their avatar as they shudder and squeal into life, interactions and relationships.
Simon Katan is a digital artist with a background in music and a strong preoccupation with games and play.
