We are pleased to share that Coney has been awarded £35,785 through public funds from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund. The grant will provide a critical investment for Coney, providing stability for the next three months, so we can focus on rebuilding our core programmes of work and continuing our mission – to spark change through play.
Coney Director & JCEO, Tassos Stevens, says
Coney is most grateful to receive CRF funding which will help us continue to develop and extend our remote public-facing programme of activity, including with the Young Coneys, and explore new lines of practice for our cross-sector programme which will lead to more sustainable involvement for freelance makers.
Tassos Stevens, Director & JCEO
We know we’re lucky, while many brilliant peers in the sector continue to face uncertainty. Our solidarity with all.
We count ourselves extremely lucky to be among more than 2,700 recipients to benefit from the latest round of awards from the £1.57 billion fund, helping us to recover from many challenging months.
We will be transparent about how the grant is invested; so we can be accountable to our board and staff, wider family of freelance makers, and of course our colleagues in the industry.
Our plans will be shared online, through our newsletter and on our social media.
