Common Ground

We’re delighted that Coney have been commissioned as lead artists on Common Ground, a Norfolk & Norwich Festival 250 Project that connects young people with their local heritage through the arts.

We’ve teamed up with Common Ground to create and deliver a series of creative, playful workshops for 13-18 year-olds across heritage sites in East Anglia over summer 2022. Young people will think up new ways to experience local heritage sites. Learn more about these beautiful sites here.

What if a park visit didn’t have to be a picnic, but a giant scavenger hunt? Could you tour a historic house through an escape room rather than with a guide? We’re asking: how would young people like to see their heritage used? Participants will develop creative thinking and making skills, build confidence, gain experience in the arts and share what matters to them.

Workshops are led by Coney’s Rhianna and Toby, alongside wonderful community artists Lil, Maddie, Will and Jack.

This project is being delivered in partnership with Norfolk Wildlife Trust, National Trust, Prince’s Trust, SHARE Museums East, Ipswich + Colchester Museum, and Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
