What do you do in your Coney hat?

I currently work with Coney as Producer. I liaise between artists on project teams and Coney HQ to get projects from their inception to delivery. I submit project proposals, write budgets, create schedules all to ensure that teams have the support they need to make their best work!

What other hats do you wear?

I am also an emerging poet, comedian, theatre-maker, facilitator, and wannabe dancer. I make experiential and intimate solo work that celebrates sensuality; embodying bizarre and big-hearted characters from 9-year-old geniuses to ex-bowling superstars to plucky worms. I invite audiences to connect through the stretches between darkness and joy, and the permission to fail. I’ve trained with Soho Young Company and have been Associate Artist at the Tramshed Theatre.

I also co-founded and run the Hackney Migrant Centre poetry group – a free online space for the centre’s visitors to connect and write together. Alongside our bi-weekly group, I programme guest facilitators and organise further creative opportunities for participants to grow their practice.

What excites you most about Coney?

For me, it’s the merging of playfulness and activism – the idea that the practice can be lent to causes we care about and used to spark meaningful change.

What’s your favourite game?

TWISTER.
