A Coney & Tamasha Digital joint project in collaboration with Rightful Place Theatre Company, supported by Derwent London and Rich Mix.

Be our guest in the land of shadows
There are ghosts in these walls if you listen hard enough
And if you’re here after dark
You might even catch a glimpse….

We Are Shadows: Brick Lane is an immersive smartphone adventure on foot by Coney & Tamasha, inspired by where we live: E1 in Tower Hamlets. The game is designed by Coney and written by Tamasha’s Artistic Director Fin Kennedy (How To Disappear Completely And Never Be Found) and playwright Rabiah Hussain (Spun). Developed in collaboration with local Bengali women and students from Mulberry Schools Trust, this is a project co-created by those who know the area best.

The adventure begins with a phone call on your own mobile, and lasts around an hour before ending at Rich Mix. Here, on 19 October, you can interact with We Are Shadows installations and listen to mini podcasts produced by students from the Mulberry Schools Trust, to learn more from the people of this place, as well as how we co-created the game.

We Are Shadows is open and available to everyone. If you have access requirements please get in touch with ellie@coneyhq.org to discuss alternative models of the game.

Game launch: Saturday 19 October, playing at 11am, 1pm, 3.30pm and 5pm

The adventure will be available to play until 1 December 2019. Booking for later dates will open soon so keep an eye out for more details.
