Young People Fam 3

Help spark change through play

You’re invited to join us as a supporter and friend, in an exchange of gifts.

In exchange for your support, we’ll give you something fun and meaningful to play (or for you to gift to someone else). Your support will also enable us to continue making play in innovative and impactful ways in various charitable contexts: for young people; in communities; for the next diverse generation of playmakers.

Like many charities, while we are ever-resourceful, our financial position is fragile. We appreciate all forms of support; perhaps you could introduce us to someone who might want to commission us, or spread the word about our activities so we can make more friends.

If you like what we do and are able to support us, we would love to welcome you on our mission to spark change through play, and to help make the world a little lovelier.

Some of the ways we’re working towards that mission…

Empowering young voices

Take The Young Coneys Training Programme for example, a free programme empowering Year 5s to bring about social change, engaging nearly 500 state school pupils each year. During the programme, young people make gifts for their school community – one recent group of Young Coneys created a Kindness Tour of their school for incoming reception students.

Connecting communities

We make play to connect audiences who couldn’t normally be in a room together. Last year, we reached over 1,500 people in over 22 countries and 78 towns.

With projects like We The People, we land in communities and team up with locals to co-create new artworks, or choose someone in the local community to receive a specially created gift. Read about some loveliness connected to We The People (of Margate) here.

Supporting emerging artists and makers

We’re supporting the next generation of interactive playmakers and artists from under-represented backgrounds. Last year, we collaborated with 87 creatives from Augmented Reality designers to interactive dramaturgs.
